away from the cellist as he gently guides the rosin bow back and
forth on the tensioned strings. You hear more than just the music

the individual drums boom around you in rapid succession. You
can feel the subtle vibration of the strings of the spanish guitar
as you're serenaded by the local talent of Madrid. When you close
your eyes in the i-Fi Chair you go there. Whether you're into

Surrounded With Sound
In
our search for the perfect audio components for the i-Fi Chair,
we experienced a lot of great sound but we weren't satisfied with
what we found until the sound was perfect. The midrange, tweeters,
subwoofer and shaker in the chair are the result of years of research
and development. They provide incredibly high quality imaging
in a small and personal space. Imaging occurs when audio is directed
at you in such a way that your brain interprets individual instruments
or sounds in different locations. In this case, your ears hear
several sounds at once- the sound of the audio directly from the
speakers, the sound of the reflected audio from just behind your
ears (creating a multi-directional sound) and the low frequency
sounds of the subwoofer behind you. When all of these sounds come
together, our brain places the various instruments in different
locations of the room. You'll swear there's a guitarist six feet
in front of you and to your left and somebody's hitting the tambourine
a few feet behind you and to your right. You'll notice the vocalist
right in front of you as if you were having your own private performance.
This is all part of the experience of the i-Fi Chair. It's not
a stereo. It's a performance.
The Rumble of Reality
In addition to the sound that you hear all around you, the sensation that the speakers, subwoofer and shaker provide makes each experience in the i-Fi Chair unmatched. In a traditional stereo or surround sound system, the speakers (and their moving parts) are in a wall or in a box many feet away from you and are not even connected to you but by airwaves and sound dampening carpet. That is what makes the i-Fi Chair so incredible to listen to. All of the sound is wrapped around you and is emanating from the very chair you're sitting in. You feel the movement of the speakers and you definitely feel the movement of the subwoofer and shaker. What's more, you can control the amount of vibration that you feel. Soft or intense- it's up to you.

receiver or other audio source and send the signal wirelessly
